The guy said he put on a new belt. If the attachment drive belt on your cub cadet ltx 1040 is worn or damaged, it will need to be replaced. It has been pretty reliable for the past 5 years but i hit a dog rope toy my kids threw in a pile of leaves.

Looking through the forum, looks like the 1040 is pretty popular or has lots of issues. Cub cadet lt lawn tractor parts diagrams engine, and a smooth transmission that can propel the model forward at a top speed of miles per hour. Powercare deck drive belt for select 50 in.
