I�m trying to replace the fuel pump on my sable, and i can�t get the strap bolts off the fuel tank. Connect the fuel pump module electrical connector and the fuel pump module fuel outlet tube.
I only needed one nut and bolt for my fuel tank strap.
Fuel tank strap bolts stuck. Do not bend the fuel tank straps. The part number that we used to use for for fuel tank strap bolts 11516551 which is a m10 bolt, you could use any m10 bolt that has enough length. Is used to hold the gas tank strap to the frame on a stock tank?
I see on youtube people using clothes line hook but it doesn�t look to be 100% safe. Was removing the radiator shrouds, covers,. You shouldn�t need the lower rubber insulators.

Well heres a new problem i�ve found, rebuilding my wr250z last night, well only one problem arose and i can�t figure out how to fix it. Raise the tank into position. Weld nut broke inside frame.
The (forward) frame attachment points have a couple small gussets on either side of the holes the bolts drop through that make a socket or wrench useless on top. Anyone know of an cheap replacement for fuel tank strap bolts? Once i cut it off how can i reattach strap bolt? I only needed one nut and bolt for my fuel tank strap.
Hang the carriage bolts into their slots, and raise the straps. The gas tank strap bolts are not coming out due to the nut clips are broken at the top where they are almost impossibly reachable. Whatever the case, if you have managed to open your tank, we encourage you to buy a new tank cap to avoid getting stuck in this condition again.

I think the nut was tightened too much originally and has bent the strap and wedged it against the bolt. Had to drop the tank, but strap bolts fought hard to stay on. If it�s the bolt, insert something like a long screwdriver between the shroud and tank as close to the bolt as possible and gently pry the shroud away from the tank as you try to.
